It is a great looking place. As for the volcano...do you think that a gold ring could be procured to drop into it?

It looked like a volcano because of the hill...oh well another time then...

That was a fire that burned the top of my personal mountain. That fire crested at night and I watched the trees go up while tripping on shrooms and watching from my upper deck with a spotting scope.

Funny thing....natives need a card from the government to certify them?

Speaking of shroomerites meeting shroomerites...
I will probably be making a trip out to meet Markos. Looking forward to it.

I can't wait to see it myself. We passed over a huge desert in Wyoming today...I felt a great spiritual affinity with the landscape...more so than with the mountains. Around 5 PM we passed over the The Great Salt Desert. Right now I am on the salt flats pirating a faint wireless signal from a business somewhere near by...not exactly stone age, but I am at the edge of a real and great wilderness I can tell. Iceland comes tomorrow! This journey has really opened my eyes to the diversity of this country...for instance the salt flats seem totally foreign...no human has ever settled there I suspect...maybe some have passed through... The place does not seem devoid of spirit, but that spirit is alien in every way.

Note: I just discovered that there used to be an Indian reservation at the edge of the salt flats...Skull Valley Indian Reservation was built on an area conaminated by US Government nerve toxins...they have all but died out now...sort of ominous.

There is a strong resemblance with the salt flats and the palaya at Burning Man. Prefectly flat and without plant or bug. Mountains in the distance.
Veritas and I will see you in a few hours.

I look to the West from my vantage point on the Great Plains and see evidence of a great convergence of energy that will occur shortly. The energy can almost be felt here... thunderstorms have been increasing recently. I predict that the sky will split into two in a few hours...

 Peace.

The long awaited meeting of Fire (Hue) and Ice, will either bridge the gap between north and south, east and west, or forever break them asunder.

Well, I arrived in Iceland safe and sound after navigating a tremendous desert...300 miles of absolute solitude. I never really understood what "wilderness" meant until I was left to navigate one by myself with no backup or assurances. My journey ended (or started) at the Iceman's door just a few hours ago.

The High Desert (not true desert) feels like home to me. I have wandered in it often once I discovered it. It feeds my soul like no other place. Maybe because of the lack of humans. This area is the least populated area of the mainland U.S. Most of the towns are tiny, with populations under 10 people. In my corner of it the Paiute Indians roamed in small family sized groups and met up as a full tribe only once or twice a year to marry and socialize. There just wasn't enough food to stay together.
There are many deep canyons with streams and even trout. Grass and flowers along the banks and wildlife is abundant. It's truely beautiful once you find the heart.
