have you checked antique shops, flea markets, thrift stores and yard sales yet you'll probably pay the same price less the shipping

Where I'm at, the best I can do offline is a 4-quart PC from wally-world. They don't even display the price there either; though I think its $20.

there isnt much difference in a 4 and 6 quart in capacity, I'd opt for the new because you'll be paying about the same price after shipping

Keep in mind that your jar size is directly proportional to the size of your PC. I got a 6 qt PC and now I am wishing that I would have doled out the couple extra $$ for an 8 QT. (I can still use 1QT jars but its a tight fit.) -Me

for now, a 4-quart will serve my purposes just fine. I plan on doing a basic pf-tek and then going outdoors when the cakes are done. I'll probably upgrade in the distant future though, when my environment will allow some more serious indoor growing

I say thrift stores, flea markets, and yardsales as was previously suggested. For 10 bucks you will prolly find a 21 qt. somewhere.

depends on the model i suppose
my 16 qt holds EXACTLY as many jars as my 21 qt does( 7 qt jars) , i only reap the benefit of the bigger one when i do bags
just a helpful hint, when searching for a PC on ebay, you USUALLY find better deals if you search for a pressure "canner" instead of a pressure " cooker"
i know it sounds fucked up..
but a cooker is designed for "food preperation" so they can tag a bigger price on it....
even tho they do the same thing

Is it just me or does that gasket in that pic look pretty rigid, if it is it probly will need to be replaced very soon. I got my 22 qt pc off of e-bay for about 42 bucks including shipping. I understand that you are on tight buget but if you can save up some more, take the spare time to reseach more about growing before you get one. GL

If this is your plan , you don't even need a PC right now . Wait till you need one and get a good one . Maybe by then you'll have a little cash saved up
I don't believe in budgets lol.
Good Luck
