Help regarding stealth terrarium
    #575721 - 03/11/02 10:05 AM (21 years, 8 months ago)

I'm planning to build a stealth terrarium out of a rubbermade-type container in my room. I intend to hid it within the box spring of my mattress which leaves me an opening about 6" wide 7" tall, and as far as I'm concerned ifinite width. I'm having trouble finding a container that will definately fit these requirements. If anyone knows where I can find one, please point me in the right direction.

Also, if you see any flaws with my plan, please tell me now! I don't see why it wouldn't work, but I'm a firt-timer, so you all probably have a better idea.

UPDATE
it looks what I found what i need at
tubberware.com
My question is, will 6 3/4"H x 3 3/4"W x 11"L be a suitable terrarium? Obviously I'm not going to get the results of a nice big terrarium, but there's no reason this shouldn't work, right?

well i see two problems with your idea.
1. how do you plan on giving your shits light?
2. they need room to grow tall, if you only have 7inches, and cakes are about 3-4inches, its gonna be really tight, and if you choose to go with your plan you probablly will have to construct your own setup, ive never seen a rubbermaid that size.

you could probablly put your bed up on cinder blocks, that would give you at least a foot and a half, get a bed skirt thats that long, but if your tryin to hide it from your parents, they will wonder why you put you bed up and most likely discover your plan before you get to eat your little guys.

lol, i was having problems the "stealth terrarium" as well.
what i did was bought a rubbermaid tuberware container, about 10 inches tall, i think 6 is too small, it would require more maintness with gas exchange, and might result in stale air, which contams love.
i just put it on the top shelf of my closet with shit covering it...
if anyone sees it they wont even know what it is until shrooms grow
