a. Habitat (Jacksonville, Fl) -----a horse farm
---Location (never directly on manure, but in scattered patches with manure littered soil.

b. Characteristics of the gills ---------(brown/medium brown,
attached)

c. Measurements of cap and stem-------- .5 inch to 1 inch caps / 1 to 1.5 inch stems

d. Characteristics of the stem (tan/light brown,thin, semi-hollow

e. Characteristics of the cap ------Umbonate cap...outter rim of cap is white/light tan then darkens to nice gold nipple in the middle.....mostly all caps have the umbonate (flat with raised nipple in middle) shape.

f. Spore print (dark brown/chocolate)

g. Color that the mushroom bruises ( NO BRUSING!, possibly gets slightly darker tan in that area. No blue-ness present at all.

h. Scent of mushroom (slightly musky and remnant of manure even after washed)

hopefully someone can ID these babys......we were there for about 5 minutes and collected close to 50 .5-1 inch cap shrooms

From your description, I believe that you have found a species of inactive Panaeolus. Which species, I have no idea; we would need a very clear picture of the specimens to get any further, and microscope slides to go beyond that.
Sorry,
but don't give up!

Surely, the fruit you seek is near-by...
