pests on an outdoor patch
    #5754739 - 06/15/06 06:39 PM (17 years, 7 months ago)

I was wondering if there is any way ( or even a threat present for that matter ) to stop the pests UNDER the surface of the mulch, leaves in my case, that seem to breed there? The are nats from the best I can tell and I am sure I have seen some larvae...not much but it is present. I have pins right now and do not want to lose the little ones to some damned bugs. I know that it is a natural occurance of course....but these are special circumstances. I had snail issues already so do not want any more probs.....anyone?

Don't use poison. The key is to simply grow enough to share with the critters.
