With the increasingly good weather we're having here, what's the word on finding shrooms in the n. california area? Or are the temps too cold still? Any tips?

I found two P. Stuntzii on the CSU campus about three hours ago. I plan to check a few other places in the next few days, if anyone's interested I'll try to post pics in the pics forum.

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it. If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

I heard UCSC had a few P. subbalteatus patches growing two weeks ago and last week, probably still some left.

I have found ( in the past) Stuntzii, Baeocystis, Semilanceata and Cyanescens, though never very many. I've also found lots of Coprophila but i haen't payed much attention to those. it always sucks to see these pics from people wh find huge amounts when i only ever find a few at a time, guess i'll have to keep looking. it's funny, people are always telling me that there aren't any mushrooms around here but they never want to go with me to find out.
