Avoiding another seizure

So my friend has tripped 5 times now. First two on 1/16 were outstanding. The third... a full 1/8 that resulted in a full blown seizure at the peak. Ever since this incident, it has been hard for my friend to trip without this fear of having another seizure. What could have promoted his body to seizure and what should be avoided in future trips?
The freak incident includes the following details: Ingestion of an 1/8 of mushrooms on a PB&J sandwich. Ingestion of a vitamin C tablet. After the seizure his face was green. Near no water was ingested until the seizure.
Please share your thoughts. Thank You

Drink more water and maybe eat less shrooms? Every time I read about bad reactions like this it seems to happen after not drinking water/being in a hot environment.

He should probably not eat mushrooms if he goes into seizures...

I'll second that emotion, big time. Seizures? No thank you.
How is your friend with typical, steak and mushroom variety mushrooms? Does he have a fungal allergy that manifests itself in higher quantities? Regardless, I would find something else. Seizures are serious.

Well, he has tripped twice since then on a 1/16 with no problems. There's no doubt in my mind that he'll stick with the 1/16's from now on. My guess was not enough water and maybe the vitamin c was bad for it.

Well...lets see, doesn't Vitamin C enhance trips? So, you ate more than usual, twice as much, WITH the vitamin C, maybe it just got REALLY intense? Who knows. Its really up to him to take that risk. Good luck

Well, im not sure this would help cool down his trip, but check with him about how weed affects his seizures, when i smoke, i dont have any for like a week, and i normally have around >3 a day. maybe he could smoke? and make sure he stays cool, hydrated, and also CALL 911 if things go bad, no second thoughts!

Ok man. I can relate to this. I had a friend who tripped for the first time and had a seizure. My friends had made a tea using a stocking (teabag) with about 100 caps in it (all psilocybe cubensis). After about an hour he suddenly sneezed, then tensed up and fell back in his chair and then fell forward. WOke up and then threw up. We were all thrown into an whirlwind about what to do (Still tripping)...
He ended up ok and he's fine today. THis brings me to some kind of conclusion. I think that some people have seizures when they are tripping because of a mild case of epilepsy. This is probably similair to the seizure warnings that are on game consoles(xbox, ps2 ect.,), and strobe lights It has to do with the eyes and how fast things are moving in front of them. I dont think he should trip on huge doses, if any. Tell me what you think.. PEACE

You dont trip harder when you use vitamine C. V-c relaxes you, thats about it. It can help prevent anxiety etc. This is a fact. It is a weak acid and could only actually boost a mushroom trip because of that fact. Its not some miracle pill and certainly is not an maoi. SO yes it does something for a variety of reasons, but it doesnt do what some "trippers" would tend to think.
seizures----> "They are due to temporary abnormal electrical activity of a group of brain cells. The medical syndrome of recurrent, unprovoked seizures is termed epilepsy, but some seizures may occur in people who do not have epilepsy".
It is easy to understand why tripping on 1/8th can do that to some people. Ive seen it happen before myself(this person had eaten 1/4th). Its harder to explain than it is to understand.

i agree with stemmer....and i also think if somebody has a siezure on any psychadelic they shouldnt do them....it can get worse and siezures do cause problems....ever heard of people who went totally retarded from too much psychs...usually its caused they had alot of siezures and ignored them..i actually had a friend whos uncle was permanently brain crippled do to eating too much acid and having buku siezures and ignoring it...then when it was all said and done it was too late and now hes halfway retarded....and vitamin c is used with xtc to replenish your body with nutrients and keep you hydrated...some say it improves the roll...as with psychadelics i have no clue why you would take it...

Your friend should take a benzo of sorts before he trips, I tend to do this when the body load of shrooms give me convulsions. But seizures I have had also, and I dont think they are as bad as the crazy shaking that I have been through with some trips. I usually get a seizure once during a trip if it ever happens, but if it happens more than once I probably wouldnt trip anymore. I dont know if the random tenseness, eyes rolling back, and feeling of electrocution is considered a seizure, but I find them interesting even though it was about 3 seconds of discomfort. I sort of feel like during those 3 seconds, I accomplished all this stuff that would take me months.

now ive never really gotten the shakes or convulsions on any psychadelic but phenethylamines really...mostly 2ce...but not even that too much anymore..that just sounds scarry to have convulsions or siezures while tripping...would make me really rethink what im doin to myself...is your brain worth the stress? thats what i tell myself now to keep me from doin so much 2ce...when i first got my huge back i was trippin every day almost...then went to a couple times a week...then once a weekend...now its been more than 3 weeks since ive done any and im proud of myself...but i think phenethylamines just have that addiction potential do to lack of tolerance
