You should put your desiccant in a bowl in the middle of your drying shrooms, because the desiccant collects water. Your bags will just get all soggy.

desiccant works best when the only moisture it absorbs is from the shrooms themselves. this means that the ideal drying setup would be to put fan dried shrooms in an airtight container along with desiccant. you may not get the best bang for your desiccant in a drawer like that.
your shrooms are also very fresh so they still have a lot of water in them. i suggest fan drying them for 48 hours then doing what i have said above.

I came up with a great method of fan drying shrooms out in the open, yet discreetly. It worked really well for me back when I lived with a roommate who wasn't so cool.
Get a humidifier (I know this sounds wrong but stick with me here) that takes filters like these:
So not an ultrasonic one or anything like that, but one of the ones that uses these filters to wick up water from a tray. They have a powerful fan that sucks air vertically over the cylindrical filter.
I got this one, a Vicks 1.2gal Cool Mist, for about $20 from the drugstore across the street from my apartment:

Now just open it up and fill the middle of the cylindrical filter with your fresh mushrooms. Put it together and run the fan on high without any water in the thing. I found that this setup dried my mushrooms very effectively, possibly faster than my current box fan setup (although it can't do a lot of mushrooms at once).
To anyone who notices it, it just appears you are running a humidifier. You can't see the shrooms inside. If they notice it is out of water, you can just be like "Oops, I guess it used it all up.".
