California Poppys: Worth the bother?

I've read they're a mild relaxant. I have a giant garden of them and last night I collected a whole bucket of the blossoms. There's plenty left. Should I continue to collect them? Anyone have anything good to say about their effects? On another note there's a Tasmanian poppy that's been in our garden for years. This is the first time I've paid attention to it. It has 13 pods, four are blooming, and I've already collected two. Woo Hoo!

Ca. poppies are quite mild, I did enjoy the smoked petals though, sure helped me fall asleep. Plus I like the look of them

Californian Poppies are very mild, i think they can be brewed and given to children to help them sleep.
They're very attractive though and will grow where alot of plants would struggle. I have some growing very well out of my old rubble driveway right now.
You may aswell keep them if you have space for them.

Nice plants and even if the effects were mild it was a nice smoke. High with euphoria and colors brightening but not much "fuzz". I would definitely do it again

I have smoked pounds of california poppy flowers. I knew one girl who I showed it to who thought she was addicted to it and actualy quit smoking pot because she liked the california poppy high so much better (shes nutso anyways tho). But ive smoked enough to tell you what its like. It's tasty and burns slow, a few joints can end a night fairly sloped.
After 3 joints I experienced a weird combination of my body feeling heavier and lighter at the same time. I was slightly "high", but not ganja high or anywhere like that. Definately didn't have an opiate "fuzz". Just a very tickly prickle along my skin sometimes. Never smoked more than 3 joints in a session. Most times it was 1 joint before bed, as it does greatly increase the chances of you falling asleep (I say chances cause im a bad insomniac who will roll around in bed for 6 hours unless he has good ganja)
