there are loiz of tobacco's out there...depending on what you want it for.. original smoking tobacco's, Orinoco, Rustica, "Apache". etc, strong, all ethnogenic and natural....careful.. some strains are quite adaptable to clims. I grow most all strains hear in West Virginia...even Aztec and Alata..about 38th parallel..here. Even Rhode Island, or one of those little new england states, grew tobacco at one time...big time.. check out heirloom seed sites, tabacum, american indian seeds, , ethnobotanical seed co, etc...searches, If using you want to break off the flower spike so the leaves mature, save a few for seed. ao leave the flower on , pods will have seeds when dry. .this stuff is all heirloom and carried down for.............ever..and you probably know most of this already I grow the rustica mostly for organic insecticide, kills dead, will numb your mouth and the rest of you if not........"spiritually" ingested...one of the better choices... some indians cut it with mullein and other smoking herbs for the best of pleasant journeys...

Connecticut. They grow copious amount of tobacco there. I used to live there and in the summer the tobacco fields were overflowing with nicotine and mexicans. I think they mostly grow cigars leaves there, but they are some of the best leaves there are. Our water supplies were pretty polluted when I lived there because of all the pesticides the tobacco companies used on their fields, and I even remember large baren pieces of land that had been stipped of their soil nutrients, and were probably highly contaminated for the same reasons.
