"Of all the special planets that give visions and hallucinations. There is one that who vary name strikes fear. Henbane, also knows as the devils weed. It has long been linked to demons, black magic, and witch craft." A quote from Dr. Andrew Sherratt. There is some growing on my property. Erowid said that it can be deadly poisonous. Has anyone tripped on henbane, Or know some one who has? All info would be much appreciated.

it does have atropine...but isn't it SCOPLAMINE (which i'm sure it has, too) that causes the delerient effects of night shades?

Never tripped on it, and never will. It's an anticholinergic -- horrible for you, dangerous, and extremely unpleasant. As an antagonist of certain subtypes of muscarinic acetylcholine receptors (both atropine and scopolamine, AFAIK), the vagus nerve is inhibited and the parasympathetic nervous system is severely depressed.
Henbane has both atropine and scopolamine, like datura, and both can cause delerient effects.
Unless you take some sort of pride in enduring horrible experiences, henbane's not worth the time.

A few years ago I read a book called "Drawing Down the Moon" by Margot Adler and there was a first hand account of a lady who was a witch/herbalist who had experimented with henbane at length. It nearly killed her. She tripped alright, nearly out of existence, you should get the book from the library and look up henbane in the index and read her story because it was very detailed.
A word of advice, leave henbane alone. I've never read any positive account of henbane when it was used as a psychedelic. Do some library and online research and the dangers of it become very apparent. It is at best a painful psychedelic, if you survive it.

Having been a an important member of an organized group who commonly practiced many dark arts. I have to say henbane is not a wise thing to get into. We made a tea containing artemisia absinthium (wormwood) and root and leaves from henbane. This tea was said to permanently remove all pain. All three of us got very sick from this tea (and had a terrible trip). I blacked out for many hours and still have several scars (4 years later) from getting in fights with bushes and trying to spew my death over them (i was vomiting at them as if trying to eat their souls and trying to almost constantly to do this to the point of hacking up small amounts of blood). We definitely felt no pain but we were in a losing battle to everything that wasn't us (i.e. bushes, trees, lights, cars, etc.) when we started to come down we were extremely cold, sweating, and almost skeletal from all the fluids that had drained from our bodies (we drank 'pure' water throughout), paralyzed, scared shitless and completely disoriented it is the absolute worst, terrifying, sickness like experience in my life (not to mention my worst trip ever). For almost 2 weeks I continued to look skeletal, extremely cracked out, and was useless for anything couldn't even hold up the phone i was very sick. One of my associates went to the hospital and spent three weeks there from this experience. Your body does not have an efficient means of recovering from this, we all could have very easily died. Please for your sake and everyone else's do not try henbane. I have never had a bad trip like this it is awful.
EDIT: I am no longer part of this group, nor am I a practitioner of the dark arts any longer. I'm a peaceful man now with different ideals, this is just a piece of my puzzle.

I would say do at least 20-40 hours of reading others' accounts before doing this drug... it doesn't have the kind of effects that you would want to sneak up on you.
It's definitely about as intense as psychotropics come... it has an extreme mental AND physical load... but it is also by many accounts the most real feeling hallucinogen.
If I ever considered using this substance, I would have a damn good reason.
