h poo

my friend picked up some h poo and it stinks to high heaven. He was thinking of laying it out on the lawn to dry out. It is 1 year old and seems moist. Does anyone know how much the smell goes away when it is completely dried out?
While it is being pasteurized, what common household items can minimize the smell coming from it? He was thinking of using fans with bounty sheets on the backs of them and to direct the airflow. If anyone has any suggestions for removing as much smell as possible, please reply.
Once the hpoo has been inoculated with whatever species, he assumes that the smell should be completely gone within 24-48 hours from the tray? What is the estimated time structure for this smell to go away?
Thanks,
Shaman

There should be no smell!
Well like good tilled earth, actually not bad
Lay it thinly on a tarp in the sun

Once it's dry, I pick out all the nuggets,

And store them in a Tupperware

Out of a pile & still slightly moist, with minor pee / ammonia smell.
Air/sun dried until bone dry. No smell at all, other than earthy.
Once ultra dry, it stores well in totes, garbage cans, or bags.

There is no way it is a year old and still smells. Ounce you dry it out it has imo a very earthy smell that is not bad at all(if it stunk no way would my old lady let me pasturize it in the kitchen lol). Dry it out like you said you were going to do and it should be fine. GL

My friend never opened the bag until today. The only thing he could comment on was the horendous smell. When poured on a tarp, it appeared as though it had been sitting in a pile for a while and then bagged to sell. It was never thoroughly dried out, thus the horendous smell still in existence. I'll get him to post some photos.

friend says that when it airs out and dries the smell appears to be going away. He's now wondering if the little flies that sit on it are potentially bad for growing? Or will all the bugs that lay eggs be of no harm because pasteurization is meant to kill the bad eggs and bacteria?
Thanks,
