i have been trying to find schools that offer ethnobotany and the only one I can find is in Hawaii. I live in philadelphia and I was wonderong if anyone know of a school nearby Philadelphia or one that offers distant learning and is legitimate?

I would be happy to find any sort of distance learning botany programs.

This is kind of a cool article, I'd never really looked at ethnobotany as a career. Apparently you just take botany and then branch out. I'm sure that school in Hawaii would be amazing to go to though.

Ethnobotany is the bastard child of Anthropology and Botany. Both fields fund research equally (unfortunately the funding combined isn't nearly enough)If you can't find something now, I'd say Major in botany, minor in Anthropology and wait it out.

There are ethnobotany classes at many schools. But I believe Hawaii ma'hau (sp?) is the only school that actually offers a degree in ethnobotany.
