Bought a camera today so I though I would test it out to should you what I got up and coming. [image] [/image] heres a casing of tasmanian that just started to show pins today
[image] [/image] Heres a casing of Texas that is just showing myc
[image] [/image] Heres my first ever 22 gallon tub of hpoo about 95 percent colonized after about 4 days. I will hopefully be casiung it tommoro with a 50/50 mix. It is B+.
[image] [/image] Heres my WBS jars that are colonizing and a couple lcs that are colonizing right now. I got Z-strain at the top, Texas middle left, Lipa Yai middle right, Golden Teacher bottom right and pf classic bottom left. They will all be going into hpoo when they are done. I will be starting more B+ WBs soon and another batch of lipa yai that was a freebie from the hawks eye. His syringes are packed with spores. I will be following up with some mushie shots hopefully soon.

hey no prob!
my apartment sublets electricity to some high-priced company so conservation is a must for me. i just have a tub with a heating pad on low underneath it. i'd love to go to a bigger scale cabinet, but i just can't afford it.
looks like everything is going well in your incubation chamber though, good luck man, looks like you've read your shroomery BEFORE you started :P

I'm not having to much luck with the lcs. A B+ one in the is about 3 weeks old and is a lot lighter but only has light 30 percent colonization and the only the golden teacher one is showing growth. I use about 4 tablespoons (which is pretty close to ten ccs)to four tablespoons of karo syrup. Any suggestions are appreciated regarding lcs

ahh, if you used karo lite, you pc'd too long... they shouldn't be that dark. 10-15 mins is all you need to thorougly sterilize a liquid. any more than that and you'll start carmelizing the sugar in it

Next time consider using a garbage bag for the bottom. Your gonna only expect 1 or 2 flushes if lucky.......i could be wrong though

Mycelium 'eats' tinfoil, makes holes and maybe even more,
Black plastic bags are great,
Helps to protect from side pins, and from the Mycelium 'eating' tinfoil

Cool, one more question, it is dripping water condensation and there are droplets on top of the myc in the tub. It is super humid in there. I don't know why, the poo isn't overly wet and the temps are around 75F. Is this normal to have such high humidity? I am kinda worried about contams with the myc and poo getting dripped on from the condensation. thanks

Your fine.
Mist with a diluted H2O2 solution every now and then to kill any spores before they have a chance to germinate. but yea, water droplets on your myc is no big deal worst they could do is cause it to bruise.
