Look into Trichocereus cacti.
Peyote are very rare, quite expensive, and would take many many years to grow yourself. By then, eating 10 of them would feel like a huge waste, compared to what nice plants they make.
Trichocereus cacti grow a foot a year, so use the search engine for those. San Pedro is what you're looking for.

The difficulty of finding it may depend on where u live. For example, if u live in the southwest US or mexico, it may be easier to find b/c it is native to the area

Unless u live in an area where peyote is native, don't count on finding it. Of the countless users of psychedelics i know, only one has used the stuff.

Even in those parts peyote is damn near extinction. Sure, it will likely never become extinct, but people have picked them to the point where they are few and far between. Some people think thats just sad including myself. I ate many buttons when in mexico. In Puerto Vallarta people grow peyote though and have been for a very long time. I dont think there is a chance in hell I will ever know anyone who can get some in the US.

While I wouldn't do it personally, if you really want the peyote experience:
Buy a couple big buttons from canada or somewhere, and take with a full dose of san pedro. I think it's a waste of a wonderful cactus that someone spent many years growing. But at least it isn't taking more from the wild than are currently being consumed.
But, doing that will give you the desirable alkaloids that exist in peyote, but not pedro, along with a decent amount of mescaline from the pedro itself. You'd want to leave a lot of the button intact, and keep the root planted, and it will repup. It just won't be pretty for a long time again.
