To me this is a sound reason to believe in the rebirth of the soul, reincarnation after death.

The universe has a heartbeat that directly mirrors our own? I'm open to interpretations, can you expand on this one?

I asked him to engage in conversation. If he chooses to pose a question or comment, I will respond with the utmost sincerity and civility. If he chooses not to, let it be apparent to all that the invitation to meaningful dialogue was offered by me, and rejected by him.

Recalling that this statement was made by a 14 year old version of my now 30 year old self, let me try to explain what that teenage boy meant.

Just like we have a heart beat with a pulse and a rest, there is a sunrise and sunset, a summer and a winter, a big bang and a big crunch, an activity and a rest, a positive and a negative polarity.

Like us humans, God/The Universe wakes and sleeps, stirs and stills.

I was simply restating what so many mystic philosophers have said over the ages- as above, so below.

The macrocosm mirrors the microcosm. There is a positive and negative polarity on grand cosmic scales and on individual human scales.

So (+) + (-) = ∞ ?

I'm seriously trying to understand this but it seems to oppose my 'cultural conditioning'.

I still don't see how the heart rate equates to the Sun rise?

Quote:

A normal resting heart rate for adults ranges from 60 to 100 beats a minute. Generally, a lower heart rate at rest implies more efficient heart function and better cardiovascular fitness. For example, a well-trained athlete might have a normal resting heart rate closer to 40 beats a minute.

I mean big bang sure, big crunch? Still open to interpretation. Could be the big crunch, could be the big expanse of a blip of low entropy.

Apparently an "interesting post" is one that agrees with the OP. I notice that no moderator stepped in when MS posted page upon page of preaching stuff.

Not surprising that LE retracted his attack rather then 'fess up to his sins. I have protected his secret for years despite his non-stop personal bashing. PM me if you want to know what's what.

Respectful = debating in good faith; not taking shit does not equate to being hostile.

Moonshoe deliberately posted known lies about me many years ago out of spite and never retracted nor apologized. What does Buddha or Jesus say about that? How can that possibly be spiritual in any fashion?

So you really were just bluffing / pretending when you said you had some sort of point in this thread?

You got nothing?

No actual point at all?

You whine about not getting enough attention then when you get some you say nothing?

The equivalent of knock knock Ginger? Ring the door bell and run away?

What about lying and slander because you don't care for someone? Is that spiritual? Simple and direct question.

More preaching means what? Certainly not an answer nor a sign of maturity. For those of you unaware, MS spread lies and yet wants to be taken seriously as some sort of advanced being; which, of course, is counter to any spiritual teaching. But he has abs! :cheer:

A mature person would look at his past and make amends. All I see is ego.

What lies ? What past? If you are actually referring to anything, mention it. I have no idea what you are talking about and presumably neither does anyone else.

(I am innocent because I cannot remember past transgressions.) That is a good one!

Do you think that LE withdrew because I made shit up? Of course not.

But hey, you win! You are a spiritual giant among ordinary men! :congrats:

This OP was written when I was 14 or 15 years old, half my lifetime ago. The title was originally "How I remembered that I was God". Now as a 29 year old man, my ideas have developed. Accordingly, I have changed the title of this thread to reflect a humble attitude of devotional love and submission to God leading to Union.

based on your new reflection, I think you would get more interest in the religion and spirituality forum.

There is nothing wrong with posting it here AS LONG AS ONE ENGAGES WITH OTHER POSTERS; not just acolytes that write, "Hey, that was right on, brother!"

Still wondering if having abs is spiritual and if bragging about such is humble. I was ripped at 38 and not so much any more. Am I less spiritual now because my body has aged and hormone levels have dropped?

Bodybuilders MUST be the most spiritual people on the planet! :cookiemonster:

I think you have the wrong number sir.

I don't know who LE is , what you are referring to or how it connects to this thread.

I am starting to think you don't actually know who I am and have either mistaken me for someone else , or are in the grips of alzheimers or some such condition.

Regardless, because you aren't making any sense or communicating in any comprehensible or meaningful way, I am going to stop wasting time giving you the attention you seem to crave but not know what to do with when you get it.

Good luck to you sir.

LE is Lunar Eclipse, and he immediately removed his post when called out. Check it out.

As to having memory problems, I am not the one who forgot what personal crap he wrote many years ago. But then again, I am not one with God as you are. :levitate:

What's going on is that Moonshoe is setting himself up as a teacher and role model while denying his past transgressions. He is claiming humility whilst bragging. I see this sort of blind dichotomy all the time.

You are making accusations without explaining them or providing any details or evidence which are thus utterly meaningless.

To do so is dishonorable, and you bring shame on yourself with such conduct.
