Hey y'all, I have a 4 tier greenhouse setup with a coolmist...two tubes - one above the 4th and another directly below the third. For the past few months I have been harvesting Tasmanian but the size of my guys vary greatly. I use 80/20 verm to coco...when I move into my new place soon I will switch to 50/50. Maybe this is why the mushy sizes are sometimes so small. Any other factors you guys know of that affects this outcome. Thanks.

wbs...I have one tray of wbs mixed with horse poo. The ones growing off of the poo are sometimes tiny as well. Uneven flushes are angering me.

Could be that your casing layer or substrate doesnt have enough moister. Try 4 inches of poo and a inch of casing and make it got proper moisture content and PH.

I need to switch to 50/50 I think. No more coir...that stuff is garbage. One more question:
Say I have a tupper ware container 12" x 12" and I cover the substrate with 1" of 50/50 peat/verm....how much oyster shell flour should I add. I bought some last month but I am too lazy to carry the 50 lb bags of peat. Thats the only size I can find in this area.
So for a casing layer of volume 144 inches ^3 how much flour?

Up to five percent by volume of the amount of peat. Use gypsum also at five to ten percent. Remember, mix the lime or oyster shells/gypsum with the DRY peat, before adding water or the verm which you will hydrate in a separate container, them mix later. Don't count the verm when figuring the amount of lime. RR
