I can't figure this shit out! I got the client, did the search, but EVERY file/program I try to download just sits there! I know I have a shitty set up: Windows ME with dialup and if I did ever get these to work it would still take for ever. Now I just figured out that my picture won't show because I'm using I'm using Firefox!
I might just go back to using Ares as a filesharing program.Too damn complicated for me!

bittorrent uses a totally different indexing format from other filesharing protocols. Just because you find a torrent, doesn't mean you will be able to download the file it represents. Usually, there have to be people with the complete file still connected to the tracker (these people are called "seeds") for you to be to download it. Most torrent search sites (e.g. thepiratebay.org or torrentspy.com) will display the number of people who've downloaded the file and are still connected (seeds) and the number of people who are currently downloading the file ("leeches" or "peers") next to the torrent file itself. Usually, if there are no seeds, you will not be able to download the complete file.
If you are not downloading anything at all, you are probably connected to a torrent with no seeds and no peers.

In such times as ours however, when there is too much order, too much m management, too much programming and control, it becomes the duty of superior men and women and women to fling their favorite monkey wrenches into the machinery. To relieve the repression of the human spirit, they must sow doubt and disruption" "People do it every day, they talk to themselves ... they see themselves as they'd like to be, they don't have the courage you have, to just run with it."
