My Friends Dad died today. Her dad left when she was like 7 and she hasnt seen him in person since she was like 12. shes 18 now. and she has 2 siblings too.

he died of an overdose saturday morning.

Its pretty sad imo. I bet the guy regrets most of his life. You never know when you are gonna die. I dont know how people can just disregard there kids like that and go years without even seeing them.

You posted something of somber substance. That is to be commended. Usually you would talk about some girl that you're trying to get with.

My father died a similar death, his wasnt an overdose although he had on several
occasions, his was complications from surgery, his body was shutting down from
30 years of heavy substance abuse, I'd only seen him a few times since I was 6

sorry to hear that, my grandmother has fought cancer for the last 35 years, they
dont expect her to hang on much longer, of course they didnt expect her to live the last 30 either, she's 89 and says she'll see 100.

My grandma died with my mom asleep at her side yesterday morning.  She died around 5-6:30am.  my mom dosed off.  She awoke to her dead.  I was in the next room so I was awaking to take care of my little brother while she made calls.  It was lung cancer.  I'm sure she got that last glimpse of a sunrise as she finally let go.

My mom feels guilty for not being awake for her last breaths..  But i say she was right next to her.  What more can one ask for.  The comfort of them being together at the end must have been enough.
