Need Some Help
    #5738952 - 06/11/06 06:04 PM (17 years, 7 months ago)

Recently the nursery i used to buy all my vermiculite and materials from closed down and I was forced to find a new source. Unfortunately I've been to many stores(wal-mart,Lowe's, home depot)and have not been able to find a single supplier of vermiculite, not even other nurseries have them. If anyone knows of a place or website that sells medium or fine grade vermiculite please let me know. I'd appreciate the help.

hmm, are you sure you can't find it at lowes? It's usually outside in the garden center.

don't forget to look in the insulation areas too.

yes, vermiculite is used for insulation.
be careful though, because it's usually the very large pieces.
I think at lowe's it is sold in the insulation area.
just a guess though.

Almost all Home Depots have Vermiculate (and most Lowes for that matter)

Garden section, look throughout the soils and junk-near soil/plant foods and junk it'll be floating around in an obscure spot

Yeah I looked everywhere. I searched every inch of the garden sections and asked multiple employees if they had any in stock and they just reffered me to stores I had already tried.
