Dunking/Rolling & Timeline

Hello all, have aa quick question about how dunking & rolling affects the timeline of pinning.
Normally, when I birth a cake, I immediately submerse it in water +H202 in the fridge overnight, and the next day I roll it in dry verm & place in the growing chamber.
However, for this particular crop, I am trying very hard to get fruit by June 23. I remember reading something once about dunking/rolling increasing the amount of time it takes for a cake to pin, but I cannot find it now.
If dunking/rolling is going to make it harder for my cakes to pin, then I will just put them in straight from the jars.
Thinking about it logically, it seems to me that dunking alone probably would not increase the pinning time, but that adding a double ended casing, or rolling the cakes may increase the time due to the fact that extra mycellium will have to form.
Am I correct?
What do you think? Should I birth straight into the tank, birth & dunk, or birth, dunk & roll?
Please post any advice, or any luck you have had in regards to getting fruit sooner.
Thanks, AllyKat

If you want to iniatiate early pinning, expose the jar to light from day 1. Using peroxide at all will slow things down. The dunk will help, but the cold temps in the fridge will again set it back a little. For fastest results, I would birth, roll and DEC--lots of light, fresh air exchange, temps around 75-77, and 100% RH. If it was a multispore inoculation, it's a crapshoot. Concerning peroxide, I would not use it at all unless you're fighting cobweb mould; clean water is all you need for a dunk. And all the rolling provides is a good microclimate for pinning--and the DEC is a means to provide moisture. GL, and I hope you get your fruits on time.

Ok, I very much feel like a newbie for asking this, but what is DEC? Not familiar with that term.
By 100% RH do you mean humidity?
& you think avoid dunking alltogether this time around, for fastest results?

Nevermind, figured it out. DEC = double end casing.
