I would take the jars out and clean the incubator.
I'm wondering why you have perilite in an incubator.
That sounds like just another risk for contams to me.

yea really the jars dont need humidity at all, with those filter discs its good to keep them where they wont dry out but you should be fine without any external humidification.

accually the RH is a factor in mycilium growth, its just when you have alid on the jar the RH is locked inside, and not really important.
yeah the perlite has to go, and get some lids. so you dont have to waste 2 discs per jar.

screw lids..im at almost 100% colonization at day 9 with rye....mmfd rock...the only thing that sucks is that u need to have moisture in the incubator to keep the jars from drying out ...thats what ive found anyways
i took the perlite out and am using 1 inch of h202 in a tray at the bottom of the 20 gal incubator...its sitting on a heat pad...about 82 degrees..

Be shure when you change over from perilight
to wash and spray everything with Lysol. Also spray the jars with Lysol. Sterilize, sterilize, sterilize!
