Well,
today I finally innoculated my jars. 10 jars all together. Innoculated with Treasure Coast. It was pretty intense... I didn't have a pressure cooker, so I just did it with the boiling water, for 1.5 hours. Then I just went to bed. When I got home today, I remembered something.... I had forgotten to put an extra bit of vermicultie on top of the subtrate mix... So, I sterilized it (microwave... But I destroyed the bowl in the process :wink:

) and put it in... Then I innoculated the jars. Each jar had approx. 1cc of suspension, save for the last two, which had 1.5cc's. I had tin foil on top, so I did what the PF-Tek said to do, and I screwd on the jar lids which I also had to sterilize today, lol) and I put 'em all in the original box, and put them into my closet... I felt bad after doing it, but I don't feel that way any more. I can wait 'till I start to see the growth. I can wait though. I'm just going to forget about em for a while. I made sure everything was sterilized pretty well (lysol and rubbing alcohol washdowns) so, I hope everything will work out OK. I even wore these surgical gloves, just in case :wink:

But, I have a few questions...

1. I have a bunch of extra tin foil hanging out from under the lids of the jars (like and inch or so). Would it be OK to cut off that bit?
2. Is it possible to use a reptile heating rock as part of the incubator? I was thinking I could put it under the box or something to help keep it wark.
3. Do you guys think my sterilization techniques was enough to keep the nasties away?
4. Off the topic... But why do people refer to their neighboors dogs and such when talking about growing?

I can't think of anymore... I'm sure I'll come up with some more soon. Thanks a bunch guys!

my pet goldfish(had to use something other then myself since you brought it up) wouldnt have opened the jars after he sterilized them..and if he did he would have done it in a glove box or using the oven tek....youll prolly be alright though..if your not try this next time....

and the reason people refer to people and things other then themselves is because growing magic mushrooms is illegal.
