yeah, I've seen similar. but a bit different.
the top tank was 5 gallons. one tube running to each humidifier. right before the humidifier there was a valve. open the valve to fill, close when done. just change out the 5 gallon water thing when ready.
that is not automated though. hand-turn valves at each humidifier.
just set it on a timer while you are gone. be curious to see if anyone has done this in an automated fashion.

it should be fine i think once the water drops below the pipe/tube it will fill it up again to the pipe/tube or alittle above it.

Joker, what would keep the gallon jug from overflowing the resevoir in the cool mist? Water will seek the lowest spot, so it won't just flow if the level drops below the jug. The entire jug will drain as soon as you put it in place.
In addition, my cheapo vics coolmist will run for nearly two weeks without refilling and that's humidifying a greenhouse about three to four times the size of a martha. We leave for a week at a time on a regular basis and all is fine. It only needs to run for a minute, then off for six to ten minutes. RR

the humi here is 7-10% 15% on a nice day. i have the humi running every 15 off 15 gets it up to 75% but made a few changes today hoping it will help the cool-mist work better.
but from say 10% to 75% thats a big jump. it's fucken dry as hell here and been in the 105-110 already and summer is not here

Then run a second humidifier in the room the grow op is located in. The wicking type humidifiers are ok for a large room, and they run several days without refilling. That should make it easy for the greenhouse humidifier to keep up. RR

ok my green house is in a closet in the bedroom so just buy a better one and run it in the room. or should it be in the closet. no cloths are in there but there is carpet and some boexs and a water heater. i know the humi will not bother the W/H but don't want mold to grow in the carpet. or on the cardboard.

Whatever you do, I'd suggest getting that humidifier off the floor. 90% of all contaminants in a room are within 12 inches of the floor, and carpet amplifies that figure. Since water droplets are heavier than air, put your humidifier up high and let the pipe enter at the top. Personally, I put the humidifier inside the greenhouse on the second from the top shelf. That's why one minute on, six to ten off gives perfect humidity. Just tweak your system and you'll be fine. You can also cut a few slits in the plastic sheeting top and bottom for fresh air exchange, freeing up the humidifier for humidity duty alone. RR
