Wait until it's actively dropping spores before you pick. Just print onto foil. You can lay a sheet of tyvek or even a freshly laundered t-shirt over the cap as it prints. RR

ok problem #1 - you are making this way too complicated. Problem #2 - cleaning what with alcohol???
if the gills are very very light in color most of the time you will have a dud mushroom and you won't get very many if any spores from that cap. look for a cap with a very dark veil, they usually print the best.
*NOTE: if a sterlite/rubbermaid container can not be used, a drinking glass can be placed over each cap/print to retain moisture.
to print a cap just simply wipe down a sterlite/rubbermaid container of some sort with alcohol and allow to dry. -use a brand new out of the package piece of typing paper and place in the sterlite/rubbermaid container.
-next wipe down your pair of scissors with alcohol. -then, sanitize your hands and put on rubber gloves or latex gloves. -after that, spray your gloves with 71%-91% alcohol and allow to dry.
-Pick up you scissors and snip the mushroom off the casing or cake. -snip the cap off and place it on the new piece of paper.
-again if no container is available drinking glasses can be used to cover the caps/prints. avoid touching the gills at all cost.
