anyone use off road diesel, or dyed diesel?

i want to konw what color it is and how dark it looks. i know a guy that has 100 gallons of what he thinks is dyed diesel, which i could use for my vegitable oil diesel project.
so anyone know what this stuff looks like, or even better have a picture?

Maybe buy a gallon at the pump and compare??.. Just a thought. It's just dyed kerosene.

it's more than dyed diesel, it has a high sulfer content, it stinks and if a DOT cop gets behind you and smells the shit, thousands in fines and they take your car

Yup, dyed diesel is for farm use only. Thats why its tax free(you may notice it is like 40 cents or so cheaper than at the pump).

I don't.
But the original Diesel engine was designed to run on vegetable oil.

There are different grades of diesel and kerosene. May not be "one in the same" but they are similar. ===================================================== #1 Diesel Fuel (Kerosene-like, kerosene, Diesel 1-D)
The specifications for No. 1 diesel (minus additives for diesel engines) are so similar to kerosene that many manufactures make a dual purpose product that is sold as both kerosene and diesel #1. This fuel can be ultra low, low, or high sulfur. It has better solvent qualities than #2 and is used in lower temperatures or blended with #2 to improve performance in colder temperatures. Winter diesel blends can have anywhere from 10-50% #1 fuel added to #2.
