What about this?
    #5735074 - 06/10/06 06:11 PM (17 years, 7 months ago)

OK I'm doing a TIT again and Everything I read said the temp of the water should be 80 degrees. But I want to know if it would be ok if I had the water at 85 degrees. cuz my thinking is that if I had a 10 degree drop from the incubator(85) to the fruiting chamber(75) it would initiate pinning faster than a 5 degree drop.

why fruit in a TiT??

don't worry about temperature dropping.

worry about FAE, RH, Transpiration, Light, Correct temp (74-77), etc...

the water temp of a TIT isn't important...

what is important is the temp inside the TIT where your jars are sitting!~

you want that to be between 81 to 84 degrees F.

I'm not fruiting in a TiT I'm fruiting in a green house. The TiT is for incubation.

okay, yeah, I'm an idiot again.

keep the temp on the lower side.

no need to cook your jars now and ruin everything.

See my thinking on this again is that if the water is 85 degrees then on the inside it will be a little bit less cuz the plastic of the tubs are going to be absorbing some of the heat.

the plastic of the tubs wont absorb much heat. plus you've got an aquarium heater to keep the bottom tub at a constant temp... if you're having problems with heat loss, try wrapping a towel around your bottom tank. (plus will save on electricity)

your ambient temp in your incubation tub will be a little lower than the temp of your jars anyways, try putting the thermometer under one of your jars.

thats why you put a temperature gauge or a thermometer inside the TIT with your jars.

you need some TIT's for your TIT thread!~
