Hi mates we'd like to share our kombucha cultures.
who can be interested?
we can spread little circles (7-8cm diameter) of Kombucha, the postage will be 5 USD for each culture, and it works as the sporeprints in FSP (1 kombucha culture -> AT LEAST 1 kombucha culture to send back)
we spread them and not make profit!!!
start cultures aren't ready yet but it's just for information.
what do you think about it?
bye bye..

Can you get sick from kombucha, or is that just American fear-mongering?
Because I was under the impression that you could?

Supposedly but it seems like the only thing documented are the health risks.
Still it is pretty neat and who knows. Someone may one day find a cure for cancer in that thing.
Keep up the good work

Get a glass of tea, let it sit out for a while until it forms a big chunk of funky ass fungus/bacterial growth grow on the top layer, scoop it out, dry it, then eat it. Doesn't sound like such a healthy thing to do, huh?

Alot of the "health benefits" atributed to kombucha aren't documented. The one major one that is, is it fills your digestive system with beneficial micro organisms, similar to yogurt.
Its very easy to make, the kombucha has a built in defense mechanism against other bacteria taking hold. So you can be alot sloppier making it then, say...growing mushrooms.
The taste is VERY similar to apple cider with a splash of tea. My wife hates the taste and I love it. Oddly she gags at apple cider and I can't get enough of the stuff soo....*shrug*

A review of the published science on Kombucha found that it may cause liver damage and one Kombucha drinker has died. [1]

Well, studies have shown that peanut butter, marshmallow and smoking causes cancer. But I still like a cigarette after a peanut butter and marshmallow fluff sandwich

did you ever notice that healthy people die of cancer more often?
and those that quit their bad habits and get healthy, THEN get cancer???
Cancer wants a healthy good growing area, not the pickled liver of an alcoholic or the soot factory lung of a chain smoker

Yeah, and 75% of the people who grew up around Chernobyl dont have cancer. That conclusively proves that radiation doesnt cause cancer...
