I have heard of someone gathering from the manure pile behind the stable. Does it depend on what they are fed? Antifungal agents would be a bummer. Spore Print :

Unidentified fungus grows on dung. This looks WICKED! Do not eat this one kids!

LOL. Traveling would be advisable. RECON! Check NOAA precip report storm total radar. Leave house day or two after 1-2" rain. Look for large populations of sacred animals. Dont do anything stuptid or Illegal. Pack a tent and a cooler. Enjoy yourself.

I found a small batch today that I was really excited about - it was my first time out - but I didn't have a camera... I have to look through pics of young cubensis to see if they match.

Welcome to the shroomery.. keep in mind that pictures of pins and young mushrooms can be deceiving. Cubes are fairly easy to identify. Don't rely on pictures alone, as this could mislead you. Young mushrooms that aren't fully developed can lack all of the features needed to ID it.
Cubes grow on manure, bruise blue, have a ring on the stem (when mature), and a purple-brown spore print. Make sure that your finds fit the above.

Bookmark this page and keep up the post you gulf state people! Have pride in your cow fields and show us your new pictures!
My field doesnt have anything right now (i can only go as far as walking distance)
1) someone might be picking them 2) not enough humidity 3) to much direct light
So i havent found any sense my first hunt a few days ago its been raining so wish me good lick for tomorrow and the next day!
