Am I crazy? I think I just found a cube in my garden. Put sme fresh mulch out over the weekend, has cow manure in the mix. It rained a little last night. lookes like a cube, small, blue veil, blueing stem as we speak doing a spore print, I used scissors to pick it, smells, looks, feels, just like a cube. If it was growing directly out odf dung, 100%positive it would be active cube. no pics-Has this ever happened to anybody??????

i'm pretty sure these are copelandia cyanescens (blue meanies). can anyone confirm?

all found a few weeks ago with tons and TONS of cubes, growing on dung, in a north florida field.

I pulled a nice large cube out of someone's mulched flower bed a few months ago in the Texas hill country. Veil had torn away, major bluing, good sporeprint. It was great - strong level 2 trip off just that bad boy. Was about 6" tall and the cap was about 4" across.

The great thing was I found it just doing my job, trying to get an interview for the census.

I took it down for a while since PNW finds are starting to pick up and this is starting to die down. People will still be able to post in it - it's just not going to be sticky for now. We had too many of them up there at once.

    #6190882 - 10/20/06 12:47 PM (17 years, 3 months ago)

So how is it looking over there in the Houston area? Didn't a cold front come in yesterday? A FOAF was thinking about going out there to take some photos but wasn't sure she should make the trip
just
yet... what does everyone think?

I don't no what has happened to the season, after 11-12 inches of rain, lots of shrooms everywhere, but no actives. No cubes, no copes. Maybe the flood we washed away all the mycelia. Thought the copes would be in abundance. Has anyone had any luck in the last week?
