i'm gonna go get it after i take a shower! anyone else have this book!? i've never even been able to look through a copy but i heard that it's pretty fucking awesome.

im about half way through this book.
im torn whether i like his writing style or not.
ive read books by hofmann, leary, narby and a couple other i cant think of right now.... amd his just doesnt pull my attention like the rest. i dont know.
i think i will go full circle with other books before i go back to mckenna.

Plants is actually by Shultes, Hoffman and Ratsch. You're thinking of McKenna's Food of the Gods.
I can't say I've read either. I love listening to recordings of McKenna but I agree with agoutihead that his books are not very compelling. I think I've joked in another thread that the Logos prefers speech to the written word. 
As for Plants, I've heard it's an excellent practical guide for anyone interested in entheogens. I'd love to here what you think of it when you're done.

sorry your right! i was thinking of food of the gods. i have yet to see mckenna in video or audio... i will have to look into it soon.
his ideas are great, but its almost a chore getting through foods of the gods right now.
