LSA - do people like it?
    #5731687 - 06/09/06 06:44 PM (17 years, 7 months ago)

how does LSA compare to LSD and Shrooms?

it seems that most people feel it just isn't worth the effort of consuming the notoriously nauseating seeds.

wait i know there was a reason i made thi sthread and it was definitely more than just that

it just seems so hit and miss, is it worth the trouble?

sorry quite high

My one and only LSA trip -- while not 'recreational', and possibly not all that fun - was most certianly worth while. I look forward to the next time I take HBWR seeds, and I did really enjoy the expierence (despite being in utter hell for many hours), but at the same time its not something that I'd be looking to do with the same frequency as LSD or Mush

its something to try once or twice. ive tried it twice, 4 seeds and 8 seeds. it was pleasurable the first time, no visuals besides tracers, no nausea, felt like i was rolling on E. second time was much more intense, with CEVs and OEVs, strong nausea, etc. It wasnt too pleasant

it's pretty good except for the nausea.

most i did was 6 seeds or so HBWR and i loved it a lot until (i think but i'm not sure) the tapping of my foot on my desk kept repeating over and over and over because I thought someone was tapping on my window (which would have been impossible so i thought the neihbors below me were) and so then i freaked out for about 3 hours listening to El Cielo over and over to calm my nerves, hiding in my room because I thought they knew I was tripping.

pretty silly and absurd, it was because the tapping wouldn't stop that it bugged me. I guess that's how Poe felt...

I was basically love manifest, my head felt expanded and airy... movements were exagerated and blurry..... I was remembering much joyful things about my childhood and Easter as a very young kid..... writing about how much I loved things and making crazy doodles.

it was fantastic til that snapped. i shouldn't have been listening to NIN either.

my grandmas pet moose had eaten over 600 mg's on sepperate ocassions to no avail. it wasnt till my grandmas pet llama did an extraction did anyone feel effects. the llama reported feeling very floaty, dreamy, with tracers and colors similar to the effects of a low-dose acid trip. he experienced slideshows of his life with emotions and thoughts engraved into them. he felt very pulled down, and drained of energy. he didnt wanna get up and do anything, just sit and trip. he didnt report nausea being as he reportedly used a naphtha wash.

Extractions sound promising...haven't taken the time to do one yet, though.

As far as the seeds...its CRAP compared to shrooms and LSD...but its not horrible...it can be rewarding if you take steps to kill nausea. But I do tend to dwell on thoughts moreso than I do on shrooms or acid...I usually know how to keep myself out of thought loops, but on LSA its a little more difficult for me.

I wouldn't say its crap compared to the two. If your looking for a 'go out, explore the world, lots of laughs and giggles' trip - then yeah, it sucks.

But, if you want a knock you on your ass, beautiful, terrifying, amazing, terrible, take you to blissful heights and frightening lows intense psychedelic experience : it can offer you that.

I think the people who say 'LSA is horrible' are probably using it for the wrong reasons.

As a 'legal' alternative to LSD/Mushrooms - yes, its no good.
As a powerful psychedelic in it's own right? - its very good.

Yes, I went through many hours of hell - vomiting, feeling sick, cramps in the legs, laying on my bed twitching like I was having a seizure, my trip partner felt so sick he almost got me to call 911. But the payoff? wow - it was amazing.

If you think LSA sucks, then your using it for the wrong reasons.

I say its 'crap' compared to the other two because you can just read the reports and see how the majority feels.

As far as a fun, enlightening, giddy, socially enjoyable experience goes, you are simply less likely to have that on LSA than you would shrooms or acid.

It seems more people have to 'work' for a postive experience on LSA, while great times just happen all the time (not ALL the time, but you know) on shrooms and LSD.

That is only coming from a 'seed-eating' perspective. I've never taken the time to extract it, which is probably A LOT better.

and why do all psychedelic expierences need to be giddy, sociable and enjoying? My most 'profound' and 'meaningfull' trips have often come at the expense of feeling like shit for a while.

theres beauty, and potential with LSA, but not so much grace. you sorta need to work with it to get to a certain plateau. but its still a beautiful tool and an awesome psychedelic.

^^Thats what I'm saying, just with a little more tact. Thanks.

Maybe I'm just speaking for myself, but I want something that is giddy, sociable, and enjoying so I can 'flip the switch', but not worry about HAVING to 'flip the switch'.

Maybe I like too much mental control, but LSA makes me dwell on things. If I'm seeking profoundness, I'd STILL want to do it with shrooms and LSD instead of LSA.

I'm NOT saying LSA is a bad substance...but I stand firm in my opinion that it simply can't compare to the classics. If it did, it would be illegal.

Why aren't there extracts that you can buy? That would make it a lot easier, and there shouldn't be any legal issues since.. well, it's legal.

its not legal. its legal in seed form. LSA is an analogue of LSD, and therefore illegal. consuming LSA for the intent of getting high is also illegal, but not much can be done about it. Possessing extracted forms of LSA is a felony and can get you in some deep dookie. study more...

stay safe

oh and assuming that things are legal just because you can legaly go buy the seeds in the store is a very bad assumption.

thats like saying because mint extract is 94% ethanol that moonshine is legal.

good way to check if a chemical is scheduled or not is here www.erowid.org

I was saying that with the full knowledge that it is an analogue, and that the extracted LSA would be highly illegal.

I apologize for saying it in a manner that would lead one to believe otherwise. I've been really high all morning, I should be re-reading my posts.

I was only saying it for the reason that the authorities aren't out looking for LSA for the same reason they aren't out looking for salvia. It just isn't as enjoyable or sought after as other substances.
