Off course it works. One has to grind the shrooms to powder and then make a tea, but don?t let(at least I don?t) the powder settle for more then 2 minutes, then strain and drink.

This tea seems to work stronger than just ground shrooms, at least for me.

Hey, Here is something sorta similar to the pill idea- that i have done, and it does work!

- Take yer shrooms and crush them up
- Boil for about 10 mins. (don't use much water, we're NOT making tea)
- Filter with a coffee filter (I only use a metal one because you can sqeeze out extra shroom juice by pressing on the side of the filter with a rubber spatula or whatever
- Put the filtered juice back on the burner in a clean pot
- Boil the fuck outta that shit, or until there is hardly any water left in the pot
- Turn down the heat (at this point there should only be a tarish black/dark purple sludge on the bottom of the pot)
- Once the sludge is pretty thick, scrape out the tar with a flat metal object (keep the burner low but not too low or you risk the sludge becoming too hard to scrape up... If this happens just turn up the heat a bit more)
- As long as you didn't boil for way too long, you are ready to put the tar into some gel capsules... Probably have to mail order these, or just empty out some vitamin capsules

The best parts about this meathod of injesting are that:
A.) People that are hesitant to eat shrooms because of the taste will swallow pills (usually)
B.) Much easier to conceal, if need be
C.) One or two pills and you are good to go my friend!

200 "00" capsules cost about $9 here. Local health shops carry them, and some GNC stores.

How long do these capsules retain their potency? I'd be worried about having a moist organic sludge sitting around for any amount of time.

Don't boil shrooms they will loose about 70-80% of their potency depending on how hot the water is. To make tea you take warm water (warm enough to touch.) If water is hot enough to cause you pain then it will destroy a lot of the mushroom's potency. Steeping shrooms in warm water will get you an ok tea...depending on tolerance most people will get a mild body buzz off this with a small amount of visuals. The best way to get off on shrooms is to eat them. You can make Everclear (The Liquer) extracts from dried shrooms but then you've got to let the alcohol evaporate and that takes forever. (It helps if you use a heating pad on the lowest setting) Also, Psilocybin/Psilocin extracts done with Ethanol(Like Everclear) make me sick to my stomach. I don't know why but if I drink any kind of alcohol before consuming shrooms I get deathly nausieous. Ethanol extraction works but it's not as good of a solvent as Methanol. You'll have to wash your shroom material several times in the Ethanol to get all the psilocybin out of the fungal biomass. Methanol, however, is extremely Poisonous!!!!
For those of you interested in trying the Ethanol method I would sugest getting a bottle of 190Proof Everclear and putting it in the freezer to solidify the H2O in the alcohol. Then do your extracts. For one person you will need to use at least 4-6 shrooms (That is if you're using typical P. Cubensis shrooms.) Always test out your raw shrooms to see how potent they are before you go making extracts. See how many it takes for you to get off on and then adjust your extract recipe to include that many shrooms times the amount of people you want to get high. (i.e. 4 people=16 shrooms) See you've got to keep in mind how many doses you want to make before you do the extract. If you've used enough shrooms to get 4 people high then you can just divide your liquid extract by four to get the dosage per person. (i.e. 8ml of final extract will equal 4 2ml doses.) I hope this makes sense to you guys. I've tried this out before and it worked pretty well. Just be carefull, some people have a lower tolerance to shrooms, especially people with low body weight. Skinny people tend to get off harder on shrooms than hefty people...most of the time. Anyway, I hope that helps. I wouldn't recomend using Methanol unless you have lab experience. Methanol is very poisonous and it would have to be 100% evaporated before a shroom extract could be ingested. I repeat, Methanol will kill you if you drink it!!!!
You can extract Psilocybin from mycelium assuming that you've grown it on a decent substrate like finch seed or millet. Some strains seem to have more potent mycelium than others. I ate a big chunk of an Orissa cake the other day for shits and giggles and was fucked up for a good hour and a half (I just ate a small bite but damned!) You can usually tell if Mycelium is good because if you chew it a bit it will turn blue. The same way a shroom will turn blue when bruised so will most cakes of mycelium. Keep in mind that some varieties of Cubies form Sclerotia which is suppose to be rather potent.

I would think that a mixed extraction would be the best way to go in most cases (as most cultivated shrooms are Cubensis). Psylocybin is very soluble in water as it is the phosphorylated version of psylocin (which is noticeably less water soluble, but decently so none the less).
or maybe not.. A tad difficult to post at the moment.

but if you would have read and done more research you would have realized mycellium does produce psilo. it just takes a few weeks to a month before there is any noticable amount

I have been planning to grow the mycellium using the organic honey water teck that I read about. The honey works against contamination. Of course I am only going to do a couple of jars to try it out. I'm just going to dry the mycellium slowly and eat it. If you used ordinary everclear alcohol and just evaporated the alcohol part and left the water part you would have the liquid psilocybin. The idea makes sense to me so I think it will work. It is supposed to work really well with the cold shrooms like azurescens and cyanescens that are difficult to fruit. Hopefully they will have mycellium 7 times stronger than cubensis as well. I just ordered the cyanescens and Tapalpa and will try them both. Now what flavour of honey should I buy?

no shit. pf says this in his comments and i did in fact read it (call that "research" if you want) but if you read my post i was talking about legality not the factual existence of the chemicals. if the legal instruments cant detect it then legally there is no proof it is there. so in the legal sense it isnt there and so it is legal (maybe).
