OK, so it's been about nine weeks and my jars still aren't fully colonized...I think my last chance for saving them is to go ahead and birth the cakes. I think i should cut off the non colonized portion with a hot knife so i can cauterize the cake. Is this a completely bad idea? if anyone has any suggestions i am open to them.
Thanks

some of my texas jars went for almost two months. By that time I had moved on to birdseed and given up on them. Still sitting in my closet. Make sure you have the proper temps, that helps.

that is part of your problem...
keep your jars in 81 to 84 degrees F. during colonization.

I had a jar that, after shaking, just seemed to stop. It was a little dry so I injected 10cc of sterilised water with a small amount of sugar. It didn't do much for a while then.... wooooo..... colonised.

I had 10 jars of MDK and 10 jars of HA and they all colonised half way then stop. I waited about two weeks after they stopped growing to see if they would colonised
But I realised my problem.....
I incubated them on top of a heating pad with a bucket overtop and maintained the temp at 81 degrees culcius. I thought it would be all good, but the heat from the pad cooked the bottom of my jars completly dry
Oh well, I learned a valuable lesson

well ive got my jars incubating right now and i have the heater set at 82 with blankets around the tub is this going to be too much heat for my setup too? Will my jars take too long to cultivate? Should i lower the heater?

first, remove the blanket. second, check the temp under your jars, not in the tub. under your jars should read about 82 max. The one TiT I have reads 76-78 with the probe on the inner side wall and under the jars it's usually 82-84.
other than that... good.

Nine weeks is way too long. I would start over if I were you. You can incubate at room temps in most places. I have found the difference between low 70s and 80-84 degrees is maybe a week in colonization time. You stalled the jars, as Roadkill stated, by keeping them too hot. Put them in a box or drawer, forget about them, and take a look after a week or so. You never know. If they should colonize completely, you will want to dunk them for 24 hours. GL.
