Hey... i have some WBS, Rye, Hpoo, and Straw... what would be the best option to go for pan cyans? I want to avoid doing straight straw... I was thinking of going with just casing rye for ease + i HEAR pan cyans find them quite tasty. Any ideas? Also, whats a reccomended supplier for some pan cyans, or a particular type or whatever? Thanks for any input!

Pan Cyans are very very nice indeed, but are very tricky to grow.
With that in mind check this out, maybe a little advance but you will see what your in for Ausi Panaeolus Cyanescens - Liquid Culture to Fruits (w/ lots of pictures)
dont cut corners and good luck

In The Mushroom Cultivator, Stamets states that they can be grown on "pasteurized wheat straw [or] horse manure/ straw compost". Although I have not grown these, Stamets' methods usually work superbly.

Cow manure is gonna be a problem... however i have lots of hpoo + rye... will spawning pan cyan to hpoo cut w/ straw simply not work or not produce anything worth while? What about just colonizing some rye, then casing that directly? If these alternatives are, in your oppinion, significantly less "good" then using cow poo, i SUPPOSE i will go through the trouble to find a good connect. However, just some comparitive thoughts on those methods would be nice... as i know NOTHING about pan cyans.... except that "if you like acid you would like pan cyan"... sounds, interesting. Im so freakin excited to get goin! Thanks for any input!
