tyvek as a filter

has anyone tried to use tyvek(outer house wrap) as a filter for jars?? i have access to a large supply and would prefer to use it over having to order filters from anyone (i know 25 cost 5$) any help would be appreciated!!

Ive tryed tyvek house wrap, and tyvek envelopes (fedexpress) and polyfill filter floss (from pet shop) and had best luck with polyfill filter floss with 1/8" holes drilled.
