LSD + Shrooms = Very strange body sensations

So, this weekend I went down to Mutek in Montreal, and on the sunday I did some LSD, dropped 1 and a half hits at around 1:30pm, trip was going great - having an amazing time, and at around 6pm or so, two of my fave DJs came on in a back to back tag team, at around 7pm I decide to toss some mushrooms into the mix, grabbed a cap from my bag (no idea how much it weighed), munched it down, swished it back with a bottle of water and resumed dancing my ass off.
The peak comes up, and the mushrooms added a nice bit of 'unf' to the LSD, it added a bit of an earthier vibe to the trip that it had been lacking, and at the start - I rather enjoyed it.
Then, the weirdness started to happen - started to get caught up in thought loops, and then the strange body sensations - it started to feel my body go from feling 'light and floaty', to feeling slow and lethargic, then my left arm started to go a bit numb and cold, then it'd spread to my right arm (but not nearly as bad). I kept grabbing onto my left arm and pushing my hand down along it to try and get some circulation/feeling back into it.
For a while - it felt like I was having a stroke, not really the nicest feeling in the world, and for an hour I had to remove myself from the party to try and figure out what was happening to me as it kinda freaked me out.
While I'm 99.9% sure it was just mushrooms causing wierd body sensations and the LSD amplyfing them, and then the thought loops getting me dwelling on them -- it still has me thinking 'maybe I should make an appointment with my doctor just to check things out'
as, in the end , it just kinda reminded me of how sometimes mushrooms sort of make me feel like I just want to curl up and lay down and can feel them sort of 'running through my veins' and now and then my arms/legs get a bit cold at times while tripping.
but dunno, after that, I dont see me doing that combo again any time soon.

I only did LSD and mushrooms together once...
I took about 2.75g cubensis in chocolate and a single tab of decent blotter... the comeup was fast and the visuals were nearly overpowering. I felt the need to get home due to running into an ex-girlfriend and and a large group of her friends (things are cool between us but it was not the right place to be tripping balls). When I got home, my house looked so gross, dirty, messy, and ugly. I basically spent the next 8 hours being confused on how to clean things up... the anxiety wasn't so bad but the compulsion to "get things done" and "fix things" was really heavy and made me have less of a good time than with either substance separately.
I haven't been interested to combine the two since.

Same here.
Even light doses aren't very good. Seems harder to have a good time, and the thought loops are inescapable.

i just dosed 3 tabs this saturday and also ate .5-1g of cubes 5 hours later. i didn't really notice the shrooms kicking in or anything? perhaps .5-1g isn't enough 5 hours into a trip. i didn't experience any strange body sensations from the combo, but i have felt those sensations from mushrooms alone.

this type of experience is normal...trippin isn't easy...u have to experience the bad trips to truely gain confidence of returning to baseline...I went through an experience sooo similar to what your describing with mushrooms alone(wasn't trying to dose hard either just happened to be a batch with some extra kick) it was a difficult but ultimately beneficial trip for me and honestly sounds like the same is true for u

if you thought thats pushing it; try taking a water bottle full of blue ringer juice, 2 hits of acid, and E bomb, and smoking some chron, all at once. I was just staggering from all crazy shit,
as far the stroke thing, I've heard acid making people feel like their having a heart attack before, but I know pure acid is virtually 99% safe. It could have been that the acid was cut with something that wasn't good, sometimes I've gotten bunk acid in which it was kind of dirty, and it gave me a weird ragged out body high that wasn't really enjoyable. Plus when you do intensive drugs even though their safe, it can make you somewhat vulnerable if your not in top health.

mushrooms and LSD together used to be how i did nearly all of my work. i liked how the mushrooms made me feel a Little more connected to the earth( in the physical form) while the L let me get a bit more cosmic. i know exactly what your saying about thoughts. for me i feel its better to not put any concentration into your thoughts at all. your thoughts can be the manifestation of your ego trying to hold on. as your ego is slipping away your brain says, wait i have to do something i have to have an opinion or a thought because if i don't, then i don't exist. my advice in this situation is to lay down and just breath. let the drugs all the way inside you and relax with each breath. allow them to over come you. trying to figure out what is wrong will never work, you must give in. you will come back. and remember no one has ever had physical problems directly from getting spun. the only way to cure your problem is to dive back in. you might need a break, but eventually you have to go back to cure your problem. again this is just my experience.

man some of what u just said really spoke to me..I definitely get what your saying
my fav is still mushrooms with acid...I TOTALLY Get what u mean about the connected feeling with the mushrooms and the cosmic aspect of acid...and the they visually mesh together as well...u get incredibly detailed organic visuals...amazing...art like that can't even be duplicated yet

Its not so much the thought loops that got to me, I'm used to those on mushrooms. However, feeling like I was having a stroke or heartattack for about an hour was very unpleasent, and even today - my left arm still feels a bit tingly, and there is a bit of tension in my chest now and then.
Eventually (with a bit of effort), I just sort of 'let go, and trust that I wasnt having a stroke, or I'd probably be on the ground right now' and figured out what was going on with my body, but bleh - did not like that feeling at all.

this is most likely just anxiety(if u really think its a concern then go to the doc...can't hurt) in fact I would recommend u probably do that to be sure...but my guesss is its anxiety
if it makes u feel any better I've only had that once...it chilled me to the bone...it IS a very uncomfortable feeling I know but rare in my experience(haven't had it since) the good trips make up for it

I think part of it may be the fact that I have a pinched nerve in my back. My back has been sore for over a month now, (I'm starting to see a chiropractor for it), and think the pinched nerve may be leading to some of the wird tinglyness in my arms - and the mushrooms/LSD has either
a: made me more aware of it b: when dancing, I twisted in a way that pinched the nerve even more and is putting more pressure/whatever on it, leading to the increase in 'tingly/numbness in the arm'
I have another chiro appointment tomorrow and will see what he has to say about it, if he thinks its just my back problems pinching a nerve then I'll leave it at that, if not, and it still lingers for another day or two I may make a doc appointment.

Well, left arm is still tingly, although it's only most noticable at nights after I've been up/moving all day when the rest of my back starts to 'act up' ... I'm guessing as the muscles get worked during the day and start to inflame -- puts pressure on whatever the hell is being pinched.
*grumble*
But yeah, chiro said its just a pinched nerve, my guess is probably twisted or held my body in a weird way while tripping to just aggervate the problem .. but gah, its getting annoying, typing is actually a bit tricky with my left hand.
