If you had a 170litter monotub would you fan?
    #5727931 - 06/08/06 06:49 PM (17 years, 7 months ago)

I have two monotubs that are 170 litters each. I know the idea of a monotub it to set it and forget it. I have 24 holes in the tub with polyfill, 4 on each end and 8 on each side. Should I fan it maybe once a day or no just let it go?

Perhaps mono tubs weren't meant for something so humongous.

If you're going to do it that big, set it and forget it and hope. They weren't meant to be fanned, so I wouldn't.

However, I would attach a computer fan to it and let it run for like 5 seconds every 4 hours or so, just to move settling co2.

Next time don't go so big.

If you want to do something like that, go with a green house.

I used to have a martha and it worked well but i think i can get more or at least the same with not as much work as the martha. My depth is 6inchs fully white with 3/4 50/50 casing layer so well see. heres a pic of my old martha I used to get about 4 dried lbs when it was full but that was a lot of work. Im hoping for a pound dry from this harvest.
Heres a pic of my old setup:

your not supposed to fan it??? i always fan mine i didnt know you werent supposed to... i dont see how air can get in through holes with polyfill... and if it does it will be very minimal...

i always like to simulate nature and close as possible and having fresh air is key...

I had a 189L monotub. I hooked up a coolmist to it. Judging by the size of my fruits, I suggest you do the same!!! No fanning required!

How about having no water in my cool mist so it just blows in fresh air. I think this would be better since my mono tub has a good amount of moisture already in it. How long should the cool mist be on 24/7?
