Its As Simple As This

As human beings, we are capable of taking action and engaging in behavior that influences the progression of events that is reality. Some aspect of reality is set into motion, in one sense or another, and it interacts with other aspects of reality that are set into motion, so to speak.
Cause and effect.
Simple aspects interacting produce complex systems. Change is constant.
We know we are being within reality. We know that we are aware and that we can interact and further reality (as reality, naturally). We realize that we perceive, through our senses, events, states, and changes occuring within reality. These realizations are self-evident, the fact that we are aware and full of being implies this.
We form an abstract representation of reality, within our mind, in order to navigate and thrive within reality. It is effective for its purpose, but is not reality, or the experience of reality.
Why would we make assumptions that are not evidenced in our direct perception of reality? Why would we unnecessarily obstruct and complicate our experience of life in this present moment with thinking and mental form? The divine experience is to not impose upon one's experience and to simply be, in the here and now moment. Let us not restrict the natural unfolding of reality and the experience thereof through us, as us.
The conscious mind which effectively navigates reality and provides one with a beneficial experience of life that is immersed in reality and the experience of being is one that does not overly manage oneself with thought. Such a conscious mind is a pinnacle of awareness that embraces the subconscious. The conscious mind should tune the subconscious and then let it operate. The conscious mind maintains enough thought as necessary, and is capable of executive override. If one consciously influences one's subconscious, employing wisdom and the silence from which such wisdom naturally springs forth from, it will be effective in unfolding the blessed experience of life and reality, and one will, in effect, "go with the flow"...
Life will become something that naturally progresses effortlessly, but yet remains navigated and directed. Reality conducting awareness which conducts reality. Amazing.
 Peace.

Who knows? Such guessing probably did not hold much evolutionary value. My guess is that as a race we grew secure enough, and perhaps the imagination developed. Also, certain assumptions can lead to very happy and joyous thoughts. These assumptions and fantasies are beacons of false hope, putting off the present, where the true opportunity for happiness is, for some dream of intense future happiness which will never come without first evolving in the present.

We got carried away

Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it, or their revolutionary right to dismember or overthrow it." -Abraham Lincoln
