I hear the Africans can throw quite a good carnival atmosphere.

Well:

Germany have been excellent hosts. Kudos to them, shame they didn't win.

I guess this just wasn't to be ours. First Rooney being injured, then Owen.

It's been a great month

Fucken shattered. I can't believe Italy won. Just can't believe it.

As much as I enjoyed this World Cup, I'm banishing it from my memory.

oh yes it's been a great month... a pretty expensive one as well... at least now life can go back to normal... but fuck it... it was worth every cent... just being part of this whole thing (and especially seeing my team win, live)... btw here's a pic of me at the stadium in hamburg before the game ecuador - costa rica... it's a shame it's blurry... i'll have to wait for the pics from the other cam...

yup... the party in africa should be fantastic... it was crazy over here and the germans are pretty cold actually... can't even imagine how it's gonna be over there...

its so sad that you can't see that 80% of the rest of the players in the world cup are at least as guilty. singling him out just exposes your bitterness.

wanker. hehe.

Agh! I'm a wanker.

Why don't they do video replays.

Gawd, it seems the NHL is the only area in sports that takes the upmost advantage of technology

Americans, when they actually take interest in a particular sport, tend to dominate it. Until there's a pro soccer league in the States that's on par with the NBA, NFL, and MLB, I doubt the U.S. will ever be terribly successful in the World Cup. And I doubt soccer will ever really be that popular in the US.

If only basketball was the global sport of humanity

Why would anyone support Italy, with the scandal, the cheating, the diving, the anti-North African racism... I can't think of a team that deserved losing more than anyone. Screw Italy, I hope they enjoy their championship, they literally fucked the world over for it.

It's strange watching the same game with your commentators. Do you always have two commentators per match? We generally only have one. The style of commentating was very different as well.

Listening to the English analysis of Portugal's performance was most amusing. I think you poms will be complaining about them for years to come.
