I also posted some good information right here in the cultivation forum about 2 weeks ago...I think. Just do a search.

First of all Ive bought a 10 dollar analog and a 20 dollar analog, and both do not read humidity that well. Donno why, but ...

Anyways to calibrate, you take a ziplock bag, a bottle cap (off a water bottle), a tablespoon of salt, and about a teaspoon of water. Mix the salt and water in the cap, but dont put enough water that it dissolves the salt, just enough to make it moist/wet.

Set it in the ziplock bags, (try using two ziplocks to ensure no air is being transfered, and set the humidity gauge in there. Check in 4-6 hours the reading. It should read 75%. The chemichal reaction with salt and water supposidly make the rH 75%. Make a note of the difference WHILE still in the ziplock.

Take out and let sit for an hour. This will get the rH of the room that you will be calibrating it in. Take your difference from the salt baggie and calibrate.
