Storebought manure vs fresh manure from pasture
    #5724710 - 06/07/06 09:43 PM (17 years, 7 months ago)

I am debating the pros and cons of the store bought manure vs the manure straight from the pasture.

Can anyone generate a list of reasons why or why not? I am hoping that storebought does not smell much. does it? is it nearly as nutrient full?

Thanks,

Shaman

I am not sure were you would buy store bought poo but over the years I have heard nothing good about it.

If your going to do poo then go strait from the pasture, most places are free too

asking a question that's been brought up 1000 times before isn't research...research is going out and finding data from various sources

Store bought manure is just as good as it coming straight from the pasture.

Just get the stuff that says "pre-composted" and "all natural" on the packaging. It should smell just like dirt, if it stinks youll need to leech it. I recommand leeching it anyways, but yea....follow that golden rule and all shall be fine.

p.s manure needs straw
