Pets, Entheogens, and Familiars

I've seen the subject of pets and psychedelics a number of times on the boards. The argument goes some thing along the lines of. "Don't dose your pets, they can't possibly understand what's happening to them." And "Hey man, my cat got into some of my stash and really dug it."
But this thread isn't about dosing your pets. Its about human and animal ingestion of entheogens to possibly form a familial relationship between an animal and a human. i.e. Like a witch and her black cat. Perhaps they took datura together.
Please, post stories of your mystical human/animal interaction, psychedelic or not; historical data that might relate entheogens to familiars; relevant comments. I think this thread could go along way. Remember, I am not suggesting to dose your pets.
Here is an interesting page with related content. http://www.geocities.com/athens/8793/totems/totems.html

animals are already totally telepathic
all you have to do is dose yourself and the first thing you'll hear them say when they look at you is "wow, you can finally hear me. why don't you ever communicate with me"
then you will feel sad because at a normal level you can't seem to communicate as well. but you will be happy too, knowing that people and animals can be close if people would just try.

Wow...thats a very interesting concept shymanta. What if the line between specie's and communication could be crossed through the use of entheogens? Though, it has been clearly shown to be possible without the use of any additional influence, merely spending enough time and love with a pet can surely mend the distinction barrier.
I had an animal experience which could be considered mystical I think. There was one time I had gone to the zoo on a hit of moderately good cid and was enjoying the experience, this inspiring feeling of wild undemosticated nature. The look of the jungle chimp and his death black eyes, the shear size and capabilities of his strength. Then there was the tiny posinous frogs and being drawn into this very creepy enviromental aura, then the tigers and the brilliance of their design and antics, most amazing creatures! During a visit to the seal den, where the glass displays their underwater habitat. One had stopped infront of the glass and was eyeing me strangely, then I would move and it would move, then do back flips and seemed aggresively annoyed with me...but this I considered all a spectacle, but that sense of primitive nature was a very very awsome thing, even if it was a zoo and the animals were pampered to demostication...I recamend this to anyone who really wants a fun, psychedelic experience.
Though, I warn you now !!!!...NEVER WATCH AN ELEPHANT PEE...!!!!
