Wait a minute bro, here we go:

Quote:

How do I know this is the right coat of arms for my surname?
Many people are of the mistaken belief that a particular family coat of arms is theirs just because their surname is the same or they come from the same country. For example the surname “SMITH” has over 100 different coat of arms for that surname. There can be multiple coat of arms for a particular surname from the same country or from different countries. The makeup of a coat of arms depends on many other factors as well. It depends on which country and what year the coat of arms was made, along with who had it made, and how boastful they were. Always keep in mind that surnames are normally derived from what a person did for a living, but can be derived from the place that the family was from or a description of a person. We use the oldest coat of arms that is in our records. This does not mean it is the only coat of arms out there. The only way to be certain of your family heritage is to have your family line researched by a professional genealogist, and this service can be read about at the following link: Family Genealogy Research. If you have a particular coat of arms that you would like to match, then email yours to us and we'll make it for you.

Very interesting, thanks! I know my last name is derived from a location, I wonder how that plays into it....

Well I know my last name is derived from an occupation and stands for "the bell ringer" or "he who rings the bells". Somewhere way back down the line my family were church bell ringers back in the old country. I know that plays an obvious role. I'm sure location does also.

Very interesting.  I would've thought your family is into "importing olive oil" and "protecting" small businesses.

Here's mine:

I actually stopped by a store that sells documents about geneology and got a printout on rice paper parchment. It explains what the surname originates from, lists my oldest documented ancestors (in my case the earliest ancestor on record is from 1170 AD), and lists some of my most accomplished ancestors, whom in my case include an authoress, a doctor, and a divine.

I find your lack of faith disturbing

Not in this day in age. That's been dead and gone for years. TV shows and movies are all that's left of it.

Without Googling it, can you tell me Fat Tony's real name?

Alright I'll tell ya- It's Marion. Frankie the Squealer confessed it in the episode where the mob has Krusty's daughter's violin.

Fuck, I watch too much Simpsons.
