Are my suggestions good? Hpoo/WBS

This is afaof's procedure of what he does WBS/Spawened to tennstudd poo. He has just started, gotten some good but nothign like he should be getting. The only 2 things i can think of to instruct him on doing , i did list below. I would like to see if any of you have any other suggestions. Thanks a lot, it just seems he should be getting results as i see here. IE; more bigger flush and faster in produces pins.
Soak wbs 24 hours, strain in a coleander for 30 mins or a bit longer. Fills quart jars 3/4 full. Tyvek over top, lid down, coffee filter over that. Puts in PC, 1 1/2in filled with water - 15psi for 1 hour 15 mins. Takes them out, shakes, allows them to cool down. Usually day later, inoculates with 2-3cc of LC. (LC is good!) Throws in T.I.T at 80-82degrees. , about week later - he has full colonization. Some are get green in it, some not.
He then spawns 1/2 of 3/4 quart to about 2 handfuls of hpoo. Covers it with alumin foil, pokes hole. Places back in the TIT. Couple of days there completely white...He then puts them in the FC with a RH Level of 84, 70ish outside.
Pins have been taking SOO long (almost week to 1.5 weeks) to come up, and when they do they are not as many as I see in pics here.
What do you think is being done wrong? Any suggestions on his style of procedure?
- I instructed him to try 60/40 casing layer this time - since he has never used a casing layer.
- I also instructed him to NOT allow full colonization in the TIT, but just allow myc to poke through then place in FC.

I think a bigger casing(4inch deep substrate) will help and you could use your jar lids to measure casing layer depth to make sure it is even

any casing will be better than no casing as far as pin sets an easy casing mix is 50% promix(or any peat based potting mix without fertilizer) 50% verm you wont have to mess with adjusting ph and it is not as prone to overlay like coir casing mixes are

yea ok. i will relay the messages to my friend. i guess it just seems, he was expecting more from hpoo and wbs. but then again, he has just started out.
Maybe going to a bigger volume would be better? I mean as it is now...hes using half a quart of colonized wbs/with some poo. and put into a small plastic tupperware container. about 5 of them go into the fc at a time.

green means non-sterile inoculation procedures. put the tyvek over the lid, not under it. want the tyvek to be dry and not touching the wbs ever if possible. make breather holes in lid very small. allow wbs to drain longer than 30 minutes. use more LC than 2-3cc. Use like 5-10. your spawn ratio with wbs should be around 4:1. that's 4 parts pasteurized poo to 1 part colonized wbs. as soon as the casings are white with colonization, case them.
follow hyphae's pinning strategy from this point on in. seriously, read it many times and be sure you know it.
pin formation is a skill itself. The casing should be glistening with moisture and constantly transpiring. There should be lots of FAE. Make sure that the substrate is 100% colonized before casing.
tell your friend to get on this site and do a ton of research.

That's not long at all. In fact its pretty good.
A casing layer done properly will help your pinset significantly. Using an isolate instead of multispore also helps, you know then all of the mycelium produced is capable of fruiting.
Sounds like you're on the right track already and doing better than you're giving yourself credit for... keep at it and you'll see improvements each time with experience

sounds like agar's lid setup. It will work for sure, but the tyvek over is safer. Yes, from experience. I've used agar's lid setup as well, tons, it does work. but in theory the tyvek on top is safer.
