I was looking around on the web like i do most everyday seen the Tropic Air Humidifier & Air Exchanger and got to thinking to my self how hard would it be to build one of these. I couldn't find much on the layout of the inside so i took a guess at it
I don't even know if this will work or not but i would like some input on it. Does anyone else think it might work?

I have one of those Tropic Air thingys. It's actually much simpler than your drawing. It's basically a rectangular sponge that extends through the middle of the jar all the way to the bottom. On one side, there is the air inlet which extends via a rigid tube down to the bottom with a bubbler stone attached at the end. The other side is the air outlet that you feed into your fruiting chamber. The air pump sits outside and is purchased separately.
I thought it was kind of expensive for what it is. You could easily make one.
If you need a picture to visualize, let me know.

Here are those pics:

The price tonyperez mentions is a good one. Kind of nice to just pull it out of the box & start using it. That's why I bought one...
If you don't already have some aquarium tubing and an air pump you need those too.
Good luck with your project.

I ordered two of those from PetDiscounters last week and they should arrive tomorrow. Their customer service was good and they have good prices on lots of stuff, like the air pumps you'll need to run them.

I've purchased a TropicAire humidifier before, and it works great. After seeing how simple it is (the rectangular sponge doesn't do much of anything, really), I've built many myself. You can use anything from basic tupperware containers to well-cleaned soda bottles (which is what I've been using lately).
Just drill two holes near the top. Put and airline from the pump in one and another barely through the other. Silicone both holes around the airline to seal it up, fill with water/peroxide mix, and run the second airline into your FC.
If you're doing casings and want to control humidity a bit more (these can get you right up and past 95% RH with ease in small/medium FC's), just get an airline regulator valve (like these) and experiment with it until you get it where you want it.
I've also run multiple FC's off of one large TropicAire style setup. You just need a larger water resevior, a high capacity air pump, and one of these (I prefer the brass even though they're more expensive because I've had numerous plastic ones fall apart on me). As with the single control valves, they take a bit of tweaking to get the RH where you want it.
If you do decide to use them, it is best to built a simple filter box for your pump (if built right, they can render your pump completely silent as well).

Yes. And if I go for a while between research projects, I empty it and sanitize with bleach solution before using again.
One other note about airstones -- even with the Tropic Aire, I still run an long airstone to the bottom of the PMP (in H2O2 solution beneath the Geolite) as Magash describes in his tek. Between the two, the humidity is purrrfect.
