Liquid Culture w/ honey - Malabar

This is a pictorial from my first LC w/ honey that I started with a friend a month ago. We used a small part of a Malabar print.

Used used Dettol (Chloroxylenon) for sterilizing the razor and other stuff.

These are the tools used for LC :
1. Sterile water 2. Wild honey 3. Jar 4. Steam Pot

The lid of the jar with a hole made with nail.

The honey only in the jar. After every action we always closed the jar with the first aluminum foil.

This is after the mixture with the sterile water.

We boiled the jar for about 45' and let it cool. After that we scraped spores from a print and covered the jar with the second aluminum foil.

The jar after 2 days.

The jar after 7 days.
After the seventh day I put the jar in the fridge.
I just wanted to ask, since it's the first time I do this process, are the cloud that is visible in the jar, sight of growth, or something else. I have seen pictures in the past, that are circular white structures inside the liquid.

Today I'm also doing my first LC with honey and Malabar(syringe).
I'll be inoculating tonight. I'll let you know how it goes.
I have heard that cloudiness indicates bacterial growth, but yours looks like that right after sterilization right? I can see little chunks in your photo that look like mycelium. Sorry, I'm not help I guess?

Hey man from what Ive read you are only supposed to pressure cook for 15 mins MAX. Otherwise this caramelizes the sugars which cause mutations and screw up your culture. 15 mins is plenty for liquid to sterilise.
Also did you use the clear type honey? - I cant tell but make sure you use the light "treacle" type stuff.

It sounds like you scraped the spores into the jar, THEN boiled it for 45 mins?
I hope you didnt!
Also this will prob be moved soon, but just letting you know for when it disappears, its been posted in the wrong forum and you'll be able to find it in the mush cultivation when its moved.
Cheers, hope it turns out okai. I stuffed up my first 3 LCs, but once you get it right, it makes everything so much more easier.

I missed that!
Tinkal by putting the spores in first you end up sterilizing them too - they will all be dead.
Shit happens.

Sorry my fault. I didn't killed the spores. First I boiled the water and after cooling the jar I scraped the spores.

okay lets clear some of this up 15 min max if you pc it, steaming you have to go longer. Infectedgoat 1 to 2cc is enough to innoc an LC. Tinkal did you pc or steam it, I ask this because that is the strangest pot I have seen.

I steamed it kilroy. By the way, why it's the strangest pot ?
I've seen other LCs in shroomery : http://www.shroomery.org/forums/files/05-41/906040667-pclc7.jpg
Mine is not so cloudy. What might happened? I saw white clouds but they were not so many like other cultures. Can I put the jar out of the fridge so the mycelium will multiply more ?

Hmmm, could one use glucose in the place of honey?
It can be found easily and its clear.
Tinkal incubate some more in a warm dark place and take again a photo of it.

Tinkal: Yes you can pull it out and it will start agn. you only put in frigde to stall its growth. Psiloman: I do not beleive glucose is a good idea but you can do a search to find out, if you want clear then use Karo or any lite corn syrup with vanilla in it, most of them have it already in it.
