Hi guys,
I just found these like 15 minutes ago. I'm by no means experienced at hunting so I'd like to see what you guys think.
Habitat: Really moist soil with a lot of decomposing plant matter from various plants in the garden of a house in NSW Australia.
Characteristics of the gills: Light-medium brown gills
Characteristics of the stem: About 60mm long, 5mm thick, kinda fleshy (not hollow), between very light and medium orangy brown colour, almost white in places. Characteristics of the cap: 20-30mm across, very smooth, caramel colour, the "younger looking" ones have a small peak at the top.
Spore print: Doing one at the moment as I just found them, will post a bit later.
Bruising: There doesn't seem to be any bruising, and there has not been a lot of wind or heavy rain in the last couple of days if this makes any difference.
Scent: Smells like average field mushrooms or whatever that are used in cooking

I'd like to smoke a bongload now for people who obey rules for ID's (that means you).

Thanks guys
DH, could you give me some pointers as to what characteristics helped you make that ID/differentiation from what I suggested they might be?
I might go have a wander in one of the pine groves on the highway this arvo

the bright red caps and reddish/orange bruising on the white stems are a dead giveaway...
the ones you're looking for will have dark brown, chestnut colored caps that fade to a pale straw color when they dry and white stems that bruise blue.
good luck

Ahhh right, the orange on the stem is bruising. I just looked at some subb pics again and I don't know what I was thinking - they generally have a more pronounced/wider sort of "peak" on the top as well eh? Sorry, I don't know any of the terminology
Thanks again.
