Casing question

My casings are ready and I was just wondering if handwatering or placing them in my humidity tent would work better (there's perlite in it..... too much humidity??). Do I start watering right away if using the handwatering tech? Thanks!!

No, the perlite will be fine seeing that your chamber is nice and tight. Just leave it in there till you see pins that are the size of a pea, then lower the humidity a bit. A good trick to get them pinning is leaving the casing at room temp, this will halt the continued colonization of the top casing layer and induce pinning....good luck

Just make sure you mist until you see pins. Misting to keep your casing moisture at its optimum capacitiy is key. You'll get bigger, healthier and more abundant shrooms, with the right moisutre content.

Depending on your casing layer, you will have to mist only 1-2 times a day. Just a very light mist to keep things moist (not wet) until you see the pins.
