ID Request - Middle Tennessee

Hoping these are active...
HABITAT: Cow Pasture, on dung. GILLS: Black, seems "adnexed", waiting on a spore print. (sorry for jumping the gun ) STEM: 6 to 9 cm long, 1.5 mm wide (thin), solid, dry, smooth texture CAP: 1.5 to 2 cm. Grey. Spherical, convex. I'm somewhat color blind, can't tell what these bruise, they seem to simply "darken" when bruised, can't distinguish any blue. SCENT: None, maybe a vague trace of something but virtually nonexistent. Tastes like a normal culinary mushroom.
PICS:

Thanks! I'm a noob, so feel free to chew me out if I'm missing anything here.

Never eat an unidentified mushroom...you're lucky this isn't poisonous...and I believe it to be Panaeolus subbalteatus...a moderately active mushroom...you don't have enough there for a decent trip though...you need about 3.5 dry grams...

I followed the directions on the site: "1.5.5. Taste – break off a small piece of the cap (smaller that a fingernail), put it in you mouth, and chew for a few seconds to a minute, then spit it out (do not swallow)."
I just took a very tiny piece off.

Panaeolus campanulatus would be a good ID on this one being in TN and it was growing in Dung... I know they have a black spoor but I feel they are so low on the "Active" scale they are a waste of time.. Look for Cubes,Copes,Blue Foot in TN... That mushroom grows all the way down here to Texas Here is a habitat pic..

I agree, the closest name you can put on your mushrooms is Panaeolus campanulatus.
It is a very common non-active dung loving mushroom.

I am a noob at this, and maybe I'm hoping against hope here, but from what I've read and the pictures of seen of Panaeolus campanulatus, the cap is conical, these mushrooms are perfectly spherical and blunt. Any other thoughts, could they be Copelandia cyanescens?

No...and now that I look at the cap closer, I agree on Panaeolus campanulatus...better luck next time...
